| High Point Section A Performance Award
This award is presented to the High Point Section A in Performance at the Heart of Minnesota Welsh Club’s Fall Show 2008. It is presented at this time to try to encourage the breeders of the Section A Welsh to bring their ponies out in the performance world. Whether it is driving, riding, childrens classes or all three, the small pony is a gold mine!! The Section A Welsh is the foundation of the Welsh breed, known for generations as the “can do” pony. In recent times this section has been slowly dropping out of performance, something we do not want to see happen, especially at the Breed show level. In days past they were active in Roadster, Fine Harness, Parade Classes, as well as Pleasure Driving, Carriage Driving and Draft Driving, and all manner of Ridden and Childrens classes. Our effort is to try to get the Section A out and seen again in all venues. This award presented by Welsh Breeders and Owners wishing to promote the Section A in performance. |
